Workshop on “Working in the Team Environment”

A workshop based on the Success/Leadership series was conducted on 25 September 2004 (Saturday) by Andrew Thien, ATM-S, CL for the Penampang Toastmasters Club at the Sabah Credit Building, Penampang. The workshop was conducted to fulfil an educational requirement to complete Andrew’s ATM-G award.
LEADERSHIP, PART III: WORKING IN THE TEAM ENVIRONMENT helps participants to learn to use leadership skills as they pertain to working with and leading teams. Five critical areas were highlighted: developing team relations, encouraging commitment, fostering collaboration, building trust and resolving conflict. Case studies on building commitment and resolving conflict were discussed among the participants to help them apply the knowledge acquired.

Under the leadership of Madam President Lily Chin, CTM, CL, she had gathered a total of 16 participants of whom some were trainees from universities and polytechnics while the rest were Toastmasters of the club, to attend the workshop. Penampang Toastmasters Club is an in-house club of Perbadanan Pinjaman Sabah (Sabah Credit Corporation).
