SWEPA Toastmasters Club's Merdeka Theme Meeting

18 August 2004, the SWEPA Toastmasters Club staged its Merdeka Theme Meeting at the Pacific Sutera Hotel to commemorate the 47th year of the nation's independence.

The Table Topics Questions touched, among others, on patriotism and what it meant to be Malaysian and living in this peaceful land. The Table Topics Master was Audrey Jinivon, CTM.
Among the guests at the event were Division K Governor Richard A. Gontusan, DTM, Asst Division K Governor Fatimah Yassin, ATM-B and Area K4 Governor Alice Kunjan, CL. It was Alice's official visit to the club as the Area K4 Governor. The guests were received warmly by the club members led by President Soo Yuen Mee, ATM-B.

The Toastmaster of the Evening was Chen Wei Nee, CTM, who apparently was making her last appearance at the meeting as she and her family would be moving to KL.

A theme meeting gives a club meeting an additional boost, which happened that evening for the SWEPA Toastmasters Club.
